Nation’s Hair and Beauty Awards, organised and hosted by Creative Oceanic, will not take place at our hotel on Sunday 25 August 2024.

A spokesperson for Mercure Manchester Piccadilly, said:  

“We can confirm that the Nation’s Hair and Beauty Awards, organised and hosted by Creative Oceanic, will not take place at our hotel on Sunday 25 August 2024.  

“We took a provisional event booking in good faith from Creative Oceanic for this event some time ago, under the strict proviso that our usual terms and conditions would be met – including payment being made in advance of the planned date. 

“However, despite the organisers agreeing to these terms, sadly they have not been met. 

“This has left us with no other choice but to contact the event organisers to notify them that the booking cannot go ahead, so they can make their invited guests aware. 

“It is therefore very disappointing to us that guests appear not to have been informed. 

“As a hotel, we pride ourselves on our meetings and events services and we are sorry to be in this position, with many customers being let down by the organisers – including ourselves as the planned venue. 

“However, we need to manage our own business needs, reputation and requirements through strict terms and conditions, which in this instance have not been met. 

“We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this causes to ticket holders. We understand how incredibly frustrating and disappointing this news must be to everyone who had been looking forward to celebrating their achievements with their industry peers at the ceremony. 

“Our team will be happy to help anyone who has booked to stay overnight at our hotel for the event, but we are unable to assist with any queries regarding the awards ceremony itself and/or ticket refunds. We kindly request any such enquiries are sent directly to Creative Oceanic.”
